Come learn the basics of smartphone photography, with a focus on composition and lighting.
We will start by reviewing several techniques and tips for composing effective photographs and lighting them, and then we will take a walk around the Village Amphitheater to practice what we’ve learned.
Note: This class will not go into the technical aspects of photography, including settings on your individual smartphone, and we will not go into any post-production editing.
Lauren is the Public Services Librarian at Manlius Library, and a former professional photographer. The presentation will feature smartphone photography from her personal archive, to illustrate how to incorporate photography techniques into everyday pictures.
Registration is required, and participants must bring their own phones if they would like to participate in the walking practice portion of the program. No phones will be provided.
